Vertical Lift Module Vs Vertical Carousel
The elevator moves vertically in the center between the two rows of supports and presents the tray out to the operator. It is controlled by a hardware and software system that is efficient and easy to use. Our Modula vertical lift can support up to 70 tonnes of storage and the elevator can move at speeds of average 2 metres per second. Vertical lifts evolved from the vertical carousel in the 90’s and are the new technology in automated storage.
Why Modula over our Rivals?
Our Recent Work
The company previously had 3 x 15-year-old D250 machines, which proved to be so reliable that the decision was made to buy new Modula Lifts.
Startrack chose to use Modula because the company believes we are the “Rolls Royce” of the industry, and we have the best design elements, which translate into very reliable lift machines.
The company used Modula’s unique weight distribution plate technology for their new machines, so as to satisfy the structural engineers’ concerns about the warehouse’s floor load capacity.
VLM won the tender to supply a Modula MC50D 6.1m high Lift. Both the automated storage system and the company’s new extrusion line have been supplied by Italian companies.
Competition is always a good thing. It forces us to do our best.
Below are links to 2 very interesting videos highlighting the difference between Modula and other producers.
The first video highlights that there is no faster picking VLM then Modula’s dual external delivery which our competitors cannot offer.
The second video are some of the features our competitors promote which were implemented by Modula many years ago.
