This system is designed to protect stored components which must not be exposed to electrostatic charges.
The system consists of an earthing point to which up to 3 devices may be connected, e.g. operator wrist straps and/or antistatic mats (optional). The system is connected to an earthing device with a total resistance of 1 MΩ. Special contacts on the tray mounted next to the bay can be installed.
The arriving tray touches the contacts connected to the system’s earthing point (1 MΩ) before it reaches the operator. The ESD kit includes an antistatic wristband with intrinsic resistance of 1 MΩ.
